Activity Information
Curious about the relationship between object handling and reminiscence, particularly for older adults? If the answer is yes, join Glasgow Life's Open Museum outreach team at Partick Library for a Memories Scotland session, as part of West Fest's Dementia Festival, where you'll get the chance to handle a variety of real museum objects from two handling kits on the topics of Tenement Life and the 1950s, whether period-original garments, ceramics you would find in a tenement home, or a classic 50s rotary phone.
You'll also be able to find out more about what the Open Museum do and enjoy a blether and a cuppa with our friendly Memories Scotland volunteers.
Everyone is welcome, wherever you're from and however you're feeling. You can bring someone with you, or just bring yourself.
